APPRECIATION |
Deep cloudy dark amber color, with moderate activity, and a floating mist of yeast. Thick foamy and frothy dark beige 2-3 finger head, lasting around 15-20 minutes, with decent legs. Flavors of pineapples, orange, pears, caramel, grapefruits, herbal spices. Moderately sweet fruitiness, with thick bitter leafy hops. Slick oily full body with soft crispy carbonation. Strong strength finish, long astringent tongue coat, slightly dry and a very sharp piney feel, some maillard effect, lots of grassy and citrusy hops, tropical fruits, thick malt backbone, soft buttery and sharp yeast. A little too coarse and lacks balance in the flavors. Wet straw like grainy feel, not pleasant nor english. Okay flavors that doesn’t feel very fresh. The body is alright. Overall average quality craft. Not an english IPA, more American.
