Dubbel, 6.8%: Slightly veiled copper color with low activity. Slightly creamy beige 1 finger head in a goblet, lasting around 5 minutes, with faint legs but good lacing. Flavors of apples, berries, toffee, clove, honey, coriander, Belgian yeast, dark grains and herbal hops. Silky medium to full body with light prickly carbonation. Medium to strong strength finish, very fine vinous feel, slightly dry and peppery, soft roast with some brown sugars, light balanced hops, densely malty and fruity. Good freshness and well intensified, though a good crisp is probably missing. Nice flavors with a delicate pleasant tongue feel. I like the complexity and the balance, although it lacks a bit of attenuation. The interpretation is quite decent, makes a nice spring beer, there’s a strong warming alcoholic scent and feel yet in a positive way. Overall very good quality craft.
