American / English Red Ale, 5.1%: Deep murky brown color with a pronounced copper hue. Creamy beige 3 finger head, lasting around 15 minutes, with moderate legs. Flavors of toffee, berries, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, light chocolate and nuts, dark grains and herbal hops. Light creamy and oily medium to full body with a light crisp. Strong strength finish, bready, sugary brown caramel, with typical red ale spices, soft oysters, ends densely leafy and coarse on the tongue. Light brown ale toasty feel in there, lots of English personality. A little dull and lacks freshness. The maillard effect is too burned. Decent taste and feel, quite bold, hits the accessibility. Overall good quality craft.
