Spicy ginger red ale, 7%: Clear brown color with few activity. Foamy beige 3 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with shy legs, but decent lacing. Flavors of ginger, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, soft dark grains and hops. Slick and oily medium body with prickly and crispy carbonation. Medium strength finish, cereal and bready, thick candy like sugary feel, with a soft rum sensation. Easily enters the holidays category from dense festive spices, not much else of use. The freshness is alright, it’s quite accessible with minimal harshness left over, plus the alcohol is hidden with a nice warming quality. Although it lacks complexity and refinement. Gets a little weird. Overall below average quality craft.

Fruit beer / Red Ale, 7%: Clear dark amber caramel color with moderate activity. Slightly creamy beige 2-3 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with thin legs. Flavors of raspberries, light cherries, sweet grains, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, barley and herbal hops. Slick full body with soft prickly and crispy carbonation. Light to medium strength finish, more sour than bitter, softly dry, very accessible black fruity feel, slightly grainy and bready. Truly a fruit beer, does the job well, with some hints of red ale spices. Not much complex, nor well balanced. Highly sugary, yet it ends not too bad with a pleasant thick berry tart effect on the tongue, similar to a jolly rancher candy. Average taste with a well rounded body. Decent freshness, and the scent is incredibly inviting. Overall okay quality craft.

Fruity Witbier, 5%: Hazy dark straw color with dense activity. Creamy white 3-4 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with faint legs. Flavors of dominating raspberries, wheat, lemon, coriander, sweet grains and herbal hops. Oily medium body with moderate crispy carbonation. Medium strength finish, long grainy tongue coat, densely fruity with some straw and leafy hops. Nice raspberry scent, highly perfumy. The taste is okay, there’s a bit of wet corn that makes it weird, and probably too much hops. The body is decent and well rounded. Accessible but not very well balanced. Overall average quality craft.
