Slightly cloudy and veiled golden color with light activity. Foamy light beige 3 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, average legs but good swirl reaction. Flavors of sweet grains dominant wheat and barley, light clove, caramel, banana yeast, and floral hops. Slick and oily medium body with a moderate crisp. Light to medium strength finish, cerealy with a soft spicy effect, and a hint of noble hops. The body is kinda dull and uninteresting for the style, also lacks a bit a freshness from an overly syrupy toffee maillard feel. Highly yeasty with an excessive banana sensation. Not really subtle and feels more like a desert. Overall above average quality craft.

Cloudy and murky dark amber caramel color with not much visible activity. Creamy beige 2-3 finger head, lasting around 15 minutes, with average legs but good swirl reaction. Flavors of toffee, roasted grains dominant barley, berries, pears, and herbal hops. Slick and smooth medium to full body with sharp carbonation. Medium to strong strength finish, toasty with leafy dry hops, thick caramel and honey. Heavier yeast profile than a typical ESB, more fruity and hoppy, less crispy and attenuated. A bolder ESB interpretation, still well refreshing and balanced but unfortunately not as complex but highly respectable for most probably being an evolving brew of the style. Tastes really good and the body is quite tender. Overall very good quality craft.

6 months old bottle : Almost opaque very dark brown color with a copper hue. Creamy brown 2 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with decent legs. Flavors of plums, dark berries, orange peels, coffee beans, toffee, vanilla, liquorice, clove, peppercorn, walnuts, oak and smoke, dark roasted malts with leafy herbal hops. Slick and creamy full body with light crispy carbonation. Very strong finish, dry and slightly vinous, thick resinous feel on the tongue that last for a moment, although very well balanced and still enjoyable. Deeply sweet and earthy, while highly acidic. So it’s a pretty good solid interpretation, highly spicy as it should, still with an inch of remaining freshness that makes it more drinkable. Densely malty and fruity similar to a barleywine, while smokey and coarse like a Baltic Porter. Very tasty with a comforting warmth. Lots of character and refinement. Overall excellent quality craft.
